Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros as well as classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana began to study singing and play instruments in the early years by her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she was a part of several chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In the years following her relocation to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in southern California. The singer currently sings the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. The passion and love she has for performing, painting, and performing keeps her involved in numerous local organizations as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor at The Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and appreciation for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
